Tourette’s Syndrome is a condition which causes repeated, involuntary movements and sounds (tics), and affects approximately 1 in 100 school children in the UK. It can hugely impact a child’s ability to learn and feel socially included. However, there is much schools can do to help pupils with Tourette’s Syndrome gain full access to the curriculum and achieve their potential.

In this webinar, Karen Pilling, SEND expert and deputy headteacher, with an extensive background leading on SEND training in schools, provides insight into Tourette’s Syndrome and tics, and its links with other SEND issues, and explains how schools can best provide classroom support to minimise the disorder’s negative effects on pupils’ lives.
