According to Ofcom’s most recent research, a significant proportion of children are familiar with the online world by the time they start school: 17% of 5-year-olds in the UK have their own mobile phone, while as many as 50% already use messaging platforms. These figures underline that digital technology is a fundamental part of youngsters’ everyday life – and it can be a superb facilitator of learning and attainment if we understand how to incorporate it correctly at the early years stage.

In this webinar, Dr Amy Bidgood, a lecturer in developmental psychology at the University of Salford, discusses how different elements of technology can promote learning, and how this can be achieved in the safest way possible for children of this formative age.
