Peter Griffin
Peter's professional experience includes almost 20 years at the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics, where he rose to the position of Assistant Director (System Leadership). His particular specialism is in the process of professional learning – and the scenarios, frameworks and activities that support this most effectively.
With a background in teaching at secondary level and lecturing on mathematics education at the Open University, he has worked with the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and was involved with the National Strategies project. Earlier in his career, Peter worked as an adviser for mathematics at Devon County Council and, initially, at Hertfordshire County Council. He has written and developed a range of professional development materials for teachers.
