Association of Teachers of Mathematics (ATM)

The Association of Teachers of Mathematics aims to support the teaching and learning of mathematics. It does this by encouraging increased understanding and enjoyment of mathematics, increased understanding of how people learn mathematics and the sharing and evaluation and of teaching and learning strategies and practices. ATM believe that influence over how mathematics is taught and understood in the world is best arrived at by building networks of contacts, professional educators and others, who communicate openly with each other.

They promote the exploration of new ideas and possibilities by initiating and contributing to discussion of and developments in mathematics education at all levels. ATM members examine new approaches and possibilities around mathematics teaching; arrived at via research, technological developments, or educators' imaginative and insightful ideas.
