William is Interim Director of the Centre for the Analysis of the Radical Right (CARR). His primary research interest is focused on counter-narrative interventions towards far-right extremism and the UK far right, specifically in relation to the ethical and philosophical dilemma of 'tolerating the intolerant'.
He has recently published a book on the subject, 'Anti-Islamic Protest in the UK: Policy Responses to the Far Right’ and has recently finished writing a second book ‘Moving Beyond Islamist Extremism: Assessing Counter-Narrative Interventions Towards the Global Far Right’. William’s current teaching competencies are in extreme right parties, terrorism, research methods, and study skills.
