Aim: This webinar will provide you with advice and practical guidance on empowering parents and carers to support children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, which may be manifested through avoidant, disruptive or otherwise challenging behaviours.

Rationale: According to the Children’s Commissioner for England, as many as 1 in 10 children and young people may have a diagnosable mental health condition. The SEND code of practice: 0 to 25 years statutory guidance identifies social, emotional and mental health as one of the four broad areas of need and support, and sets out what schools should and must do to support children with SEMH needs, including engaging with parents and carers throughout the process.
