This webinar will provide headteachers, senior leaders, science leads, teachers and practitioners with advice and practical guidance on integrating education on the UN sustainable development goals (SDGs) into science lessons as part of an education on themes of global significance.

Introducing practical activities relating to the UN's 17 SDGs into science lessons brings powerful opportunities to put science theory into practice, whilst exploring some of the defining problems of our time, such as poverty, inequality, food security, sustainability and climate change, thus helping equip pupils “to be responsible, respectful, active citizens who contribute positively to society” in line with Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework.

In this webinar, Tamara White, biodiversity, sustainability and climate change specialist with over 13 years’ teaching experience, will explain the background to the development of the UN’s SDGs and highlight broad-ranging opportunities for enriching the science curricula through exploration, research and application of scientific theory in the context of world issues.
