This webinar will provide headteachers, governors, senior leaders and all staff at mainstream schools with an overview of DfE’s proposals for implementation of the direct National Funding Formula (NFF), marking the final stage of reforms to school funding which the government deems fundamental to achieving plans set out in its flagship Levelling Up White Paper.
On 7 June 2022, the DfE published Implementing the direct national funding formula for consultation, which details proposals for its implementation, including the important interaction between the direct NFF and funding for high needs. This follows confirmation, in March 2022, of the government’s commitment to introducing the direct NFF. Deadline for response to the current consultation is 9 September 2022.
In this webinar, Matt Bromley, education writer & adviser with over twenty years’ experience as teacher, headteacher and principal, will explore key areas of the proposed implementation process, how the new funding arrangements will affect mainstream primary and secondary schools, and why schools should get involved in the consultation process.
