Rationale: On 18 May 2023, the DfE published its guidance ‘Sustainability leadership and climate action plans in education’, which explains how and why education settings, including early years providers, schools, multi-academy trusts and colleges, must put in place a sustainability lead or team, and a climate action plan by 2025.
