CPD Certified

For: Leaders, teachers, practitioners, teaching and nursery assistants

Aim: This webinar will provide you with expert insight into autism spectrum disorder (also called ASD and autism) in girls, with guidance on how to recognise the characteristics and ‘masking’ behaviours which are more common in girls, and the steps you can take to support autistic girls.

Rationale: Traditionally, girls have been less likely to receive a diagnosis of autism or may only receive one later in their lives, due to stereotyping about what autism looks like and girls’ tendency to mask characteristics of the condition. This makes it all the more important to understand how autism may present differently in girls, so that support for autistic girls can be put in place at an early stage.
