Aim: This webinar will focus on good mental health and wellbeing (for children and staff alike) in early years settings – exploring what that looks like in practical terms; how settings can help to support it; and what this could mean for your individual setting.

Rationale: In setting the standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old in England, the EYFS statutory framework highlights the importance of nurturing children's wellbeing – on a physical, emotional, social and mental level – as one of the overarching principles of childhood development. The framework describes the role of early years settings in promoting wellbeing through responsive care, positive relationships and supportive environments.
