This webinar will equip subject leaders for history at secondary level with knowledge and skills to inspire and empower their team, to ensure confident and consistent delivery of the secondary history curriculum throughout the school, with a firm focus on improving pupil outcomes.
Subject leaders play a key role in curriculum design and delivery, and are used as a source of evidence by Ofsted when evaluating teaching and learning. It’s essential that, in addition to expertise in their particular subject, they develop leadership and management skills, empowering their team to enhance teaching and learning in accordance with national curriculum requirements.
In this webinar, Kyle Graham, Director of History and previous Head of Humanities and History at the King’s Leadership Academy, will explain how subject leaders can evaluate their own leadership and management strengths whilst delivering a responsive curriculum which supports individual pupil needs and meets DfE and Ofsted expectations.
Please note that this webinar complements our Certificate in Subject Leadership for Secondary Schools course, which establishes the overarching principles of effective subject leadership.
