Secondary English: Auditing Curriculum Texts to Ensure Diversity and Inclusion

This webinar will provide headteachers, senior leaders, governors, English leads, teachers and practitioners with advice and practical guidance on selection and use of English curriculum texts to challenge stereotyping and reinforce equality, diversity and inclusion.

Ofsted’s School Inspection Handbook underlines the importance of developing children’s understanding of and respect for diversity as a part of their personal development and preparation for adult life as responsible, respectful and active citizens. Through careful selection and use of English texts, schools can gain an opportunity to promote diversity and inclusion.
