Secondary Drama: A Deep Dive into Curriculum Impact

This webinar will provide headteachers, curriculum leaders, subject leaders and teachers and practitioners with the knowledge and skills to undertake a robust evaluation of the impact of their drama curriculum, including strategies for formative and summative assessment, aligned with Ofsted expectations.

Including drama as part of a broad and balanced curriculum can help learners prepare for the next stage of education, employment or training. In order to determine the extent to which the curriculum is achieving this, schools will need to have in place robust systems for measuring, evaluating and communicating impact, which can also help them prepare for the possibility of an Ofsted ‘deep dive’.

In this webinar Dr Rebecca Patterson, subject lead for drama and senior lecturer who previously worked in theatre and Theatre in Education, will identify effective systems for determining the impact of the drama curriculum on the attainment and aspirations of all pupils, including the most disadvantaged and those with SEND.
