This webinar will provide school leaders and teaching staff with practical guidance and advice on how to develop strategies in the classroom and at home which support children and young people to manage their screen time and develop healthy screen habits.

In 2019, the World Health Organisation (WHO) issued guidelines stating that children must have reduced screen time as part of growing up healthy. Too much screen time can negatively impact physical and psychological wellbeing, including increased risk of obesity from lack of exercise and heightened anxiety from social media activities.

In this webinar Zandri Byleveldt, occupational therapist, performance coach, learning support specialist and NBI consultant, discusses the impact of technological evolution over time, the rise of ‘screen culture’ and what steps schools can take to help reduce the risks associated with and development of screen addiction.
