This webinar will provide senior leaders, teachers, governors and support staff with expert insight into and guidance on how to ensure the physical safety of staff and pupils when being transported in and around schools and colleges in line with DfE and HSE guidelines.

The DfE’s statutory guidance for local authorities, ‘Home to school travel and transport guidance’, explains how to make home-to-school travel arrangements for children and young people, as well as promoting sustainable travel. The guidance explores how balance can be achieved between meeting needs of parents and local authorities and that children and young people are protected from unnecessary risk.

This webinar will discuss schools’ and colleges' statutory responsibilities and the current legislation around school and college transport, consider the risks associated with different travel arrangements and what measures can be put in place to help keep children and young people safe from harm.
