This webinar will provide headteachers, senior leaders, teachers and practitioners with advice and practical guidance on using scaffolding to support all pupils, including those with SEND, aligned with guidance published by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF).

The EEF identifies scaffolding as one of its ‘five-a-day’, evidence-based approaches to boost pupil progress, and defines the term as “a metaphor for temporary support that is removed when it is no longer required”, with the ultimate goal that pupils are able to complete work independently.

In this webinar, Stephen Burnage, expert practitioner, consultant and trainer with over 25 years' experience teaching and leading schools, explains the different forms that scaffolding can take, and, using case studies and learning models, shows how it can be incorporated into the teacher’s practice to enhance outcomes.
