For: Senior leaders, governors, teachers, support staff

Aim: This webinar provides a rundown of all the statutory and non-statutory guidance that post-16 educators need to follow to keep students safe. It also discusses current safeguarding challenges and concerns faced by post-16 providers, highlighting issues to be aware of in the coming year.

Rationale: Perhaps naturally, government guidelines and legislation relating to safeguarding tend to focus primarily on keeping children and young teenagers safe. It is equally vital, however, that post-16 education providers are likewise equipped with the right knowledge and skillset to enable them to appropriately and effectively safeguard their students who are between 16 and 19 – particularly with regard to the additional challenges that safeguarding this age group often presents.
