This webinar will provide designated safeguarding leads, senior leaders, teachers and all staff with practical guidance and support on how they can create a safe space for children and young people to disclose incidents they may have experienced online in line with statutory guidance and legislation.

All staff should know what to do if a child or young person tells them they are being abused, bullied or have been the victim of online harm. They should be able to reassure pupils that they are being taken seriously and that they will be supported and kept safe. Staff should also know what barriers to disclosure children and young people may face and take steps to help them overcome them as much as they can.

In this webinar, Beth Davies, an experienced safeguarding practitioner and trainer, will explore how schools can ensure pupils feel comfortable disclosing online safety concerns, discuss key policy and guidance and consider ways to create an environment which always has the best interests of the child in mind.
