Representation Matters: Overcoming Bias in the Secondary Curriculum

This webinar provides headteachers, senior leaders, teachers and practitioners with advice and practical guidance on creating a more equitable representation of race and culture in education, to engage and inspire pupils from wide-ranging backgrounds, and instil in them the belief that they can aspire to ambitious career and life goals.

It is crucial that education is truly representative of the communities it serves to foster a sense of belonging, value and worth. A re-evaluation of the curriculum through an EDI lens offers an opportunity to ensure that teaching and learning reflects the history, achievement and culture of all pupils, including those of Black, Asian and minority ethnic children and young people.
