This webinar will provide headteachers, senior leaders and governors with practical guidance on building an evidence-based pupil premium strategy to combat educational inequality and help disadvantaged pupils catch up.

On 6 September 2021, the DfE published their ‘Recovery premium funding’ guidance, which provides advice on additional funding available to schools in the 2021 to 2022 academic year to support them with education recovery following COVID-19. The guidance states that schools should ‘spend this premium on evidence-based approaches to supporting pupils’ in line with the Education Endowment Foundation’s (EEF’s) pupil premium guide.

In this webinar, Megan Dixon, specialist literacy teacher and senior leader who has worked closely with the EEF, DfE and Ofsted, takes school leaders step by step through the development of a pupil premium strategy which is informed by research data and published best practice.
