Analysis by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) suggests that the attainment gap between pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds and their classmates will have grown whilst schools were closed due to COVID-19. Extensive evidence shows that high-quality tutoring can help pupils to bridge that gap. Through the DfE’s £350 million National Tutoring Programme (NTP), schools should make sure that children, particularly those from disadvantaged and vulnerable backgrounds, are provided with additional, targeted support to address the impact of missed learning.

In this webinar, RSHE subject matter expert, John Rees, will explore how schools can access and successfully implement high-quality tuition through the NTP and how to decide which approach best fits their needs, who to work with and how to asses which pupils will benefit the most.
