Jayne Robinson is a highly experienced school leader and has worked in primary education for over 25 years. Her roles have included teaching, SLT, English lead, NQT mentor, SENCo and EYFS lead. She has also enjoyed working as a guest lecturer at the UEA and coaching/mentoring more experienced teachers. Jayne is currently a teacher and school leader in Norfolk, and is passionate about supporting ITT trainees as a SCITT tutor.

In July 2021, the DfE published a new list of validated SSP programmes in its ‘Choosing a phonics teaching programme’, reflecting revised core criteria and including five new programmes. In the same month, it updated ‘The reading framework’, including guidance on fidelity to a single SSP programme.
