Aim: This webinar will provide you with expert insight into Ofsted’s PE subject report on the quality of PE teaching in primary schools in England, based on findings from routine inspections. The document provides recommendations for high-quality PE provision, and complements our webinar on Ofsted’s research review series: PE.

Why this webinar’s important: On 20 September, Ofsted published ‘Levelling the playing field: the physical education subject report’, which evaluates the common strengths and weaknesses in the schools inspected, and considers the challenges that PE faces. The document explains that PE, when taught well, “challenges myths, misconceptions and ingrained inequalities that can limit participation for all”.
