Webinar Duration: 55 minutes (approx.)

This webinar will provide headteachers, modern foreign languages (MFL) leads, teachers and practitioners with advice and practical guidance on building cultural capital in MFL lessons to enrich teaching and learning, and classroom experience for all pupils.

The modern foreign languages curriculum offers inherent opportunity for developing pupils’ knowledge and experience of cultures other than our own. This is echoed in The national curriculum: primary curriculum, which states that learning a foreign language ‘is a liberation from insularity and provides an opening to other cultures’.

In this webinar, the Association for Language Learning (ALL), the UK’s major subject association for those involved in the teaching of foreign languages at all levels, will explain why developing pupils’ cultural capital is such an important part of MFL provision, and offer a range of activities, initiatives and resources to enrich MFL teaching and learning.
