This webinar will provide headteachers, senior leaders, governors, teachers and teaching assistants with practical guidance and advice on how to effectively intervene before children are excluded from school and support pupils who are at a greater risk of exclusion.

DfE guidance states that all schools should adopt a range of initial intervention strategies to help pupils manage their behaviour and to reduce the likelihood of suspension and permanent exclusion. Despite this, in the academic year 2020/2021, the Office for National Statistics reported that there were almost 4,000 permanent exclusions in UK schools.

In this webinar, Karl C Pupé, specialist in behaviour management and award-winning author with over 10 years’ working in education, will offer practical strategies and advice on how to support students displaying behaviour which may lead to exclusion and intervention techniques to help mitigate the risk of them being excluded.
