This webinar will equip headteachers, school leaders, teachers and teaching assistants with strategies, best practice and tried and tested resources to enhance primary schools’ phonics and reading provision in remote and blended learning environments.

A report published by the EEF in January 2021 suggests that primary-age pupils (KS1) have significantly lower achievement in reading as a likely result of missed learning due to COVID-19. Although all children are returning to school on the 8th March, teachers will still need to deliver effective remote education as part of a blended learning approach if children are unable to attend.

In this webinar, SLE in EYFS and phonics, literacy specialist and highly experienced primary school teacher Susanna Craddock will explore how schools can plan, develop and implement effective techniques for teaching phonics and learning remotely, how they can support home learning and how to overcome common challenges.
