Aim: This webinar will provide you with expert insight into pathological demand avoidance (PDA), guidance on how to recognise characteristics of PDA in individual pupils, and the steps you can take to support them.
Rationale: The statutory guidance ‘Special educational needs and disability code of practice: 0 to 25 years’ states that early years providers ‘must have arrangements in place to support children with SEN or disabilities’ which should include a clear approach to identifying and responding to SEN. The document highlights that ‘identifying need at the earliest point, and then making effective provision, improves long-term outcomes for children’.
