At National Online Safety, we provide multi-award-winning online safety education for the whole school community. It’s our mission to make the internet a safer place for children. We believe that when children go online to learn, communicate or play, they should be able to do so safely. That’s why we provide schools all over the world with the knowledge they need in order to tackle new and evolving online risks.
Password Managers
Part of our Online Privacy & Security Series 2020-21

What are password managers?
A password manager is a piece of software used to store all of your complex passwords, so you don’t have to try to remember them.
Password managers can be desktop or cloud-based and you can use them to store your login information for all the websites you use, allowing you to log into them automatically.
This ‘database’ of information is then encrypted with a master password, and this is the only password that you then have to remember.
