All nursery and early years settings should have a clearly defined policy around safeguarding children online. The advance of the digital age means children are experiencing the online world from as young as 3 and 4, with research finding that 78% of 3–4-year-olds use a tablet to go online, 39% a smartphone and 10% a laptop. Children are increasingly being exposed to the potential of online harm which means online safety must begin as early as possible.

In this webinar, Konstantina Moustaka, professional development and EYFS coordinator with over 16 years’ experience working as a nursery and early years practitioner, will explore what settings need to know about safeguarding children online and how to develop an online safety policy that defines roles for staff and helps implement practice at home.
