At National Online Safety, we provide multi-award-winning online safety education for the whole school community. It’s our mission to make the internet a safer place for children. We believe that when children go online to learn, communicate or play, they should be able to do so safely. That’s why we provide schools all over the world with the knowledge they need in order to tackle new and evolving online risks.
Online Grooming
Online grooming is a nightmarish situation for parents and carers, and - even more pertinently - a potentially life-altering one for its young victims. Our short explainer video addresses the key issues that trusted adults need to be aware of.

What is online grooming?
Online grooming is when someone befriends and builds an emotional relationship with a child and communicates through the internet intending to commit a sexual offence. This type of victimisation can happen across all platforms. It involves young people being tricked, forced, or pressured into doing something they wouldn’t normally do.
