This webinar will provide senior leaders, designated safeguarding leads, teachers and teaching assistants with an insight into government guidance on Ofsted revisits and inspection of local area SEND provision, offering practical guidance on the processes involved so that schools can make preparations, where necessary.

From April 2021, Ofsted began revisiting local areas which had been required to provide a written statement of action (WSOA) and it is planned that in June 2021, it will begin full inspections for local areas which have not been inspected under the local area SEND inspection framework. Resumption of activity coincides with the publication of an Ofsted study of SEND provision identifying strengths and weaknesses in the SEND system.

In this webinar, nasen, the National Association for Special Educational Needs (nasen), a charitable membership organisation which supports those working with children and young people with SEND, will explain what schools should expect in the case of an Ofsted revisit or inspection and the steps they can take in preparation.
