Nursery Apprenticeships: Appreciating Benefits, Understanding Funding and Debunking Myths

After completing a Childhood Studies degree and early years ITT, Charlotte spent time working in settings supporting children and families. After discovering her passion in assisting new staff and apprentices, she used her experience in assisting learners at an online college with early years CPD courses to help her move on and lecture on the Early Years BA Hons degree at Bradford College. 

This enabled her to use her hands-on experience with children to shape the learning journey of future practitioners. Currently, Charlotte is the early years sector lead at Connect2Care, providing level 2, 3, and 5 early years apprenticeships. In her current role, she oversees their early years apprenticeship offer and ensures that they are providing the best possible learning experience for learners, catering to the needs of the apprentices and the settings that she works with. 

She is passionate about apprenticeships and the impact they can have on the sector. She believes in the power of foundational learning experiences and that apprenticeships can offer a unique opportunity to shape skills, fostering a lasting enthusiasm for continuous learning and growth.
