This webinar will provide headteachers, managers, teachers and practitioners in early years settings with a fresh perspective on outdoor play which takes advantage of rich learning opportunities afforded by the outdoors environment, to help young children grow as confident and ecologically aware citizens.

EYFS outdoor play offers endless opportunity for young children to explore and consider with wonder the systems and relationships that exist in the natural world around them and beneath their feet, so that they can begin to understand their place within the ecosystem, and facilitates progression towards the DfE’s early learning goal for the natural world, identified in the Statutory framework for the EYFS.

In this webinar Debi Keyte-Hartland, early years expert, TEDx speaker and lecturer with over 25 years’ experience working with schools, will explain how to provide opportunities for outdoor play in early years settings, at the same time, helping them to gain an appreciation of the interplay and interdependence of the living systems of which they are a part, and begin to understand the concepts of climate change and sustainability.
