This webinar will provide governors, headteachers and school and college leaders with an insight into the government’s response to their consultation on proposed changes to complete reforms to school funding and move to a more “direct” schools national funding formula (NFF).

On 28 March 2022, the DfE published their response to the consultation on completing their reforms to the National Funding Formula. The consultation sought views on the approach to reforming the NFF and how the government most effectively transitions away from the use of local formulae to all schools’ funding allocations being determined directly by the NFF in the years ahead. The DfE plan to publish a second stage consultation with more detailed proposals in Spring 2022.

In this webinar, Stefan Fusenich, teacher educator and DfE subject learning coach with extensive management and teaching experience, will explain the government’s response to the consultation, confirm the overall approach they will aim to take and outline their commitment to implementing reforms that will provide greater consistency, transparency and simplicity in funding arrangements for schools.
