Aim: This webinar will provide expert insight into the unique and specific challenges faced by deafblind learners in the classroom. It will explore the impact that difficulties with distance senses (sight and hearing) can have on communication and accessing information, as well as how teaching can be adapted to reduce these potential barriers

Why this webinar’s important: People receive around 90% of the information around them through vision and hearing, with the remaining 10% processed by near senses. For deafblind learners, this can mean that processing and responding to stimuli in a timely and appropriate manner can be immensely challenging. As such, educators should be familiar with strategies to support these children in reaching their potential.
