This webinar will provide early years managers, leaders, teachers and practitioners with practical guidance and advice on understanding children’s technology use in the early years and how they can reduce their exposure to risks and support them to stay safe online.

Ofcom’s media use and attitudes report 2022 found that 78% of children aged between 3 and 4 now go online via their tablet; 39% use a phone and 10% use a laptop. As trusted adults, it’s important to stay up to date with how very young children are interacting with the digital world, what the risks are and how to create a culture of positive and safe device usage.

In this webinar Heather Cardwell, experienced online safety lead and acting assistant head, will explore children’s use of technology and their online habits in more depth, review government guidance and provide useful ways in which settings can embed an approach committed to keeping children safe online.
