The recently published Teacher Wellbeing Index 2018 highlighted that 72% of educational professionals say workload is the main reason for considering leaving their jobs and excessive workload emerged as the top cause of poor mental health, with more than two-thirds (69%) reporting this. This report also suggests that educational institutions could improve the mental health and wellbeing of their workforce by leaders working with their staff to reduce workload.
In this webinar, Jo Philpott, author and headteacher will provide an introduction to the concept of curriculum area development time and examine how its proper use can contribute to reducing workload on teachers.
