This webinar will provide governors, managers, mental health leads and all early years practitioners with an understanding of their roles and responsibilities in relation to mental health and wellbeing in line with the new Keeping children safe in education statutory safeguarding guidance, supporting their preparation for the 2022/23 academic year.

On Friday 20 May 2022, the DfE published ‘Keeping children safe in education 2022’, due to come into effect from 1 September 2022. The document follows a consultation process earlier in the year which sought views on revisions to the previous guidance and continues to signpost the importance of mental health and wellbeing provision in education settings.

In this webinar, Anna Bateman, subject matter expert on mental health & wellbeing, who has worked in an advisory role for the DfE, will explore the expectations placed on settings for the new year, what plans they can put in place now and how they can remain compliant with guidance and best practice.
