This webinar will provide headteachers, governors, senior leaders and all school and college staff with an expert overview of the DHSC’s discussion paper and call for evidence on a new, 10-year national mental health and wellbeing plan.

On 14 April 2022, the DHSC published its Mental health and wellbeing plan: discussion paper and call for evidence. The open consultation seeks views on six key areas that will shape a new cross-government plan for mental health and wellbeing which aims to improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes, particularly for people who experience worse outcomes than the general population. The consultation will close on 5 July 2022.

In this webinar, Anna Bateman, subject matter expert on mental health and wellbeing, who has worked in an advisory role for the DfE, will explore each of the six areas in more depth, including what the government aims to achieve, how they are looking to implement their objectives and what questions they are seeking schools’ and colleges' views on.
