Aim: This webinar will provide you with knowledge of governors’ responsibilities, an overview of the best practices for governance structures and processes, as well as how to implement strategies to effectively manage risk and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Rationale: Governing bodies and proprietors of independent schools must ensure they meet their legal requirements as set out by The Education (Independent School Standards) Regulations 2014. Indeed, part 8 of DfE’s ‘Independent school standards’ dictates the importance of leadership and management, citing that its inclusion means that “appropriate regulatory action can be taken by the Secretary of State to address certain failures relating to the quality of leadership in or management of school.”
