From September 2020 the first T Levels, in education, construction and digital will be offered by around 50 further education providers and schools. Education secretary Damian Hinds highlighted that they will “help put Britain’s technical education system on a par with the best in the world, like Germany, [the] Netherlands and Switzerland”. The Institute for Apprenticeships will now lead on the development of T Levels. There will be two waves of implementation of these programmes with full roll-out intended from September 2023.

There is an ambitious plan to back the new programmes by £500 million of funding when they are fully introduced, and a £38 million funding boost available now for the first further education providers to teach T Levels from 2020. There are still a few controversies between timeframes and readiness to introduce T Levels from 2020 and beyond, as well as access to funding especially for independent education providers. Nevertheless, the DfE Secretary insisted that the tight T Levels timetable is ‘on track’ and going ‘well’.

In this webinar you will not only receive a comprehensive expert overview of T Levels, but also learn about available funding and ways to be involved. In addition, we will explore how schools and further education providers can capitalise on this initiative and what needs to be considered when planning to embark on the new qualifications.
