Aim: This webinar will provide you with expert guidance on identifying school buildings containing reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC). It will also offer practical advice on managing RAAC, safeguarding provision and the impact on day-to-day education.

Why this webinar’s important: On 31 August 2023*, the DfE published guidance for schools on reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC). It follows the announcement that many schools have been forced to close due to concerns that RAAC, which contains structural deficiencies, may have been used in school buildings, and to help prioritise staff and pupils’ safety.

*Please note: This webinar was accurate at the time of release on 9 September 2023 and it contains useful information on RAAC. The DfE published updated guidelines for RAAC on 25 April 2024 which can be found here.
