Sara Slade is a SEND consultant and advisor, delivering training, support, and advice to schools to support best practice SEND provision. She began her professional career in education as a key stage 2 teacher and has worked in education for more than 24 years. She’s taught as a main classroom teacher in every year group from reception to year 6 and has also worked as an LA key stage 1 moderator, key stage leader, SENCo, and senior leader resulting in achieving her National Professional Qualification Headship in 2021.
Sara was appointed as a Specialist Leader in Education for SEND in 2019 and has provided peer-to-peer support to colleagues to improve SEND provision. She has provided support to schools that have been identified as requiring significant improvements to their SEND provision, auditing and developing rapid improvement plans.
