Aim: This webinar will provide you with expert guidance on understanding the headteacher’s report and using information provided to guide decision-making. It will help you interpret data, evaluate school performance and engage in constructive dialogue with the headteacher, enabling you to effectively fulfil your governance responsibilities.

Rationale: Under the Education Act 2022, the headteacher of a maintained school must provide reports to governors “for the purposes of the exercise of any of their functions”. In practice, this means that the headteacher’s report should provide evidence that governance priorities have been addressed throughout the school, as well as communicate information to inform decision-making and set priorities for the next academic year.
