Dr Alistair Brown is Assistant Professor of Digital Humanities in the Department of English Studies, Durham University. He has previously taught at The Open University, University of Sunderland, and Singapore University of Social Sciences.
His research and teaching focuses on how video games tell stories, as well as modern and contemporary literature. An expert in social media literacy, he edits the award-winning READ: Research English At Durham (https://readdurhamenglish.wordpress.com).
More recently he has begun to explore the intersections of video games at a theoretical level with playful learning techniques applied in the classroom, such as by building literary escape rooms and telling stories with Lego.See more from Dr Alistair Brown
