On 22 March 2022, the DfE opened consultation on proposed subject level conditions and guidance for new French, German and Spanish GCSEs, which will be available for first teaching from September 2024, with first assessments in summer 2026. This follows confirmation in January 2022 of subject content and assessment arrangements. The deadline for this latest consultation is 19 April 2022.

In this webinar, Wendy Adeniji, experienced school principal, MFL teacher, inspector, trainer and author of international renown, explores the proposed subject level conditions and guidance, highlighting key points to help schools evaluate the implications of changes for their particular setting and inform their response to the consultation.
