Aim: This webinar will provide you with an expert review of guidance on schools’ and colleges' responsibilities where a mental health issue is affecting pupil attendance, and offer examples of effective practice and signposts to further support and guidance.

Rationale: On 7 February 2023, the DfE published guidance for schools on how to support attendance where there is a pupil experiencing social, emotional or mental health issues. They also published a supplementary document which provides examples of effective practice and shows how some schools and colleges have supported children and young people to build up their confidence and help them to attend regularly.
