Webinar Duration: 53 minutes (approx.)

This webinar will provide school leaders, teachers and practitioners with practical guidance on incorporating observation and assessment into daily classroom activities so that they can determine progress levels, understand pupil needs and inform future provision, in line with the DfE’s reformed EYFS Framework and supportive curriculum guidance.

The DfE’s revised EYFS Framework will become statutory for all schools in September 2021. Early adopter schools are already adhering to the framework which establishes early learning goals in seven key areas of learning and development against which pupils should be assessed, supported by the recent DfE ‘Development Matters’ curriculum guidance.

In this webinar, Megan Dixon, a teacher, consultant, trainer and author who has worked with the EEF and on an advisory basis for the DfE and Ofsted, explains how schools can integrate observation and assessment into their daily practice so that there is minimal impact on staff workload and pupil contact time.
