Aim: This webinar will provide you with expert insight into the latest Ofsted guidance on inspection practice for schools and registered early years providers, including what these changes mean for settings and what key elements Ofsted will focus on during their inspections.

Rationale: On 24 January 2023, Ofsted updated its guidance on what early years providers and practitioners need to know about delivering the EYFS framework and Ofsted inspections under the education inspection framework (EIF). The guidance helps to clarify Ofsted expectations and answer common questions.

Outcome 1:

Understanding Ofsted expectations around documentation, staff absences and maintaining first aid requirements

Outcome 2:

Clarifying Ofsted expectations with respect to the delivery of an ambitious and well-sequenced curriculum and how providers are expected to use ‘Development matters’

Outcome 3:

Recognising Ofsted requirements around progress measures, holiday provision and language use in line with EYFS framework requirements

Outcome 4:

Identifying common areas of inspection practice including notice periods and how leadership and management will be looked at

Outcome 5:

Understanding how Ofsted will facilitate feedback, provide their judgements, meet with managers and look to get the views of parents
